All lines have now reopened after a damaged rail near Hatfield caused chaos on the railways across Hertfordshire.
Services were cancelled or delayed by up to an hour between Finsbury Park and Stevenage, after the faulty rail was discovered on Sunday.
Work to fix the issue began last night (August 2), and continued until 5am this morning.
Lines have since reopened and National Rail said residual delays were expected to clear by the morning rush hour.
