As students from across Welwyn Hatfield collected their A-level results last week, there were plenty of smiling faces and amazing pictures.
Welwyn Garden City
Monk's Walk School
Headteacher Matt Grinyer said: "We are extremely proud of this cohort, both for their successes in their examinations and for the positive impact they have had on our school community during their time here.
"Thanks also to our students' parents and carers who provided so much support both for them and to the school in general."
There were many success stories with 17 students achieving all A and A* grades.
Ridgeway Academy
Headteacher, Sarah Mitcherson, said: "Congratulations to all of our students, we are delighted with their successes, which reflect their hard work and commitment.
"We wish them every success as they progress with their next steps and we look forward to hearing about their future achievements."
Thomas Oldridge achieved four A*s and is going on to study computer science at Cardiff University, while Abbie Casserley achieved three Bs and is studying history at Bristol University.
Stanborough School
The Head of Sixth Form, Mr Whelan Hind, said: "It has been a privilege to be a part of these students' academic journey.
"The results they have obtained are a testament to their hard work and dedication as well as the support throughout of their parents, teachers and peers."
Hatfield
Onslow St Audrey's
"Yet again, I am delighted by the success our Year 13 students and staff at Onslow St Audrey's School have seen today," said headteacher Julie Jones.
"This is most notable in the opportunities that the students' achievements have given them. Without exception, all our students have been able to access their firm or insurance UCAS course choices."
Queenswood, Brookmans Park
Students at Queenswood in Brookmans Park boasted a highly impressive 65.8 per cent of grades at A* to B.
Principal Jo Cameron said: "I am delighted that the resilience, resourcefulness and creativity of our students and staff have been rewarded.
"Outside of the Covid-affected years, these are Queenswood’s best A-level results since the exams were reformed."
Chancellor's School, Brookmans Park
Headteacher, David Croston, said: "I am delighted to be able to congratulate all our students and their parents on a fantastic set of A-level grades.
"Their results should serve our leavers extremely well in their future endeavours. Our leaving students were a superb cohort and they should feel proud that they have navigated their secondary school experience, with flying colours."
Bishop's Hatfield Girls'
Bishop's Hatfield Girls' School has reported an "impressive number of top A* and A grades on A-level results day 2024.
Headteacher Mr Alf Wood said: “I am so proud of all our students. They have shown such a great attitude throughout their time at Bishop’s and have achieved fantastic results.
"They are a kind, respectful and ambitious group of young people who have embraced all the wider opportunities we have offered them."
Potters Bar
Mount Grace School
Headteacher Geeta Patel said: "I am especially proud of the young people our sixth formers have become under our care and guidance and wish them all the very best for the future. They have not only proved to be great students but they are wonderful people."
Dame Alice Owen
Forty-four per cent of students at Dame Alice Owen achieved three or more A/A* grades, with 12 per cent of these achieving four or more A*/As.
Headteacher, Hannah Nemko, said: "Whilst the exam results are a fantastic achievement, we are also incredibly proud of our students for the people that they have become. They are far more than their academic results alone."
