Neighbourhood policing team officers were guests at a garden party in Welwyn Garden City.
PCSOs Emma Carson and Richard Bunn joined the party in the grounds of Woodside House on Friday, August 2 where they chatted to residents about crime issues and provided a listening ear to any concerns.
Woodside House is a retirement complex in Bridge Road and the event gave the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team officers an opportunity to give the residents crime prevention advice on matters that typically affect older residents such as scams.
PCSO Carson said: “Meeting the community and providing a listening ear is a vital part of being a PCSO.
"It’s always a joy meeting residents and it was great to see everybody having such a great time. There was an ice cream van and an entertainer who got everyone dancing!
“We really enjoy attending your events and it’s clear that the residents appreciate our attendance.
"If you’ve got a community event coming up and would like us to come along, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing us at welwynhatfield@herts.police.uk.”
