There was delight in Potters Bar as a new children's nursery officially opened in a former pub.
Canopy Children’s Nursery has launched in what used to be The Green Man, after owners Kinner Shah and Kunal Vasa revitalised the historic but derelict building.
The opening was marked with a special ribbon cutting ceremony, with the Deputy Mayor of Hertsmere, Cllr Parveen Rani, saying: "It was such a privilege to cut the ribbon at the launch of Canopy Children’s Nursery in Potters Bar.
"It was a wonderful event and it was clear to see how much this opening means to the new owners. Congratulations to the entire team for their dedication and hard work, I’m excited to see the positive impact Canopy Potters Bar will have on our community."
Kunal added: "We are delighted to have finally opened the doors of our beautiful new nursery.
"It was an extensive refurbishment of a much-loved local pub, but we know that the nursery we have created will in itself become part of the tapestry of so many of our local family’s lives as their children grow and flourish in our nursery."
