Ever wondered what streets are the cheapest and most expensive to buy in Welwyn Garden City? New data has given us the answer.
Sales company Property Solvers used the HM Land Registry to track the average sold price data from 2019 to 2024, finding the lowest and highest priced homes in the town, as well as Welwyn and Digswell.
It was two Digswell streets, Harmer Green Lane (£1,487,000) and New Road (£1,373,958) that came out on top for the most expensive, while Welwyn Garden City's Sherrardspark Road (£1,137,666) was third.
Reddings (£1,080,338), Elmwood (£1,035,300), Roundwood Drive (£972,166), Barleycroft Road (£948,750), and The Valley Green (£900,000) were also among the most expensive.
Bessemer Road in Welwyn Garden City proved to be among the cheapest streets, with Woolworth House (£126,250), Dakota House (£163,317), Waldorf House (£183,375), and Hudson House (£189,416) all included.
Hollybush House (£154,666), Andrewsfield (£156,833), Woodhall House in Cole Green Lane (£163,000), Russett House in Russettwood (£181,862), and Roseacre Gardens (£187,792) also among the cheapest.
"To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales," said Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam.
"It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Harmer Green Lane sold for £3,700,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £80,500 and under on Chrysler House, Woolworth House and Liberty House."
