A Public Space Protection Order is set to be put in place for Hatfield's High View in an effort to tackle anti-social behaviour.
The PSPO will come into effect on July 31, and give police and council officers the power to issue fixed penalty notices and prosecute those responsible.
The order puts restrictions on alcohol consumption, begging, public urination and defecation, and littering associated with alcohol consumption.
Councillor Sandreni Bonfante, executive member for environment, said: "A strong approach is needed to tackle anti-social behaviour and ensure our community is safe and enjoyable for everyone.
"PSPOs are one effective way to help achieve this goal along with providing support for those in need. By implementing this PSPO, we are sending a clear message that anti-social behaviour will not be permitted."
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s Community Safety Partnership team, Anti-Social Behaviour team, and Street Wardens, along with Herts Police, will be present in High View on Wednesday, August 7 from 2pm to 5pm, to engage with residents who will have the opportunity to learn more about the PSPO, ask any questions and understand the measures being taken.
