A Hatfield business has shown its support for Sparks Community Café with a generous donation to help provide free meals.

Adam Bracher, owner of RP Property Management, donated £800 to fund a daily meal for school children during the six-week summer holiday.

Peter Hebden, chair of the board of trustees for café operators Resolve, thanked Adam for his support of the charity, and Welwyn Hatfield Mayor Frank Marsh, who came to show his support for Sparks and help present the cheque.

"Local charities are always overlooked and every little helps," said Adam.

"I will be supporting more local charities throughout the year, and I urge other local companies to follow suit.

"The cost-of-living crisis is hurting us all in a number of different ways, so I am just asking people to be mindful of this when donating or helping.

"Speak to local charities or places like Sparks Community Café, sometimes it's not just money that is needed but people's time and understanding."

Peter added: "RP Property Management's tag line is 'big enough to deliver, small enough to care', and in dealing with this company, it couldn’t be truer.

"Their caring nature shines through, and their client reviews are exceptional. As much as we urge you to support local charities and events, it is also important to support local businesses."
