The Tesco Supply Chain team in Welwyn Garden City raised over £4,000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) after completing an 11-mile walkathon for a children's charity

The charity walk, in its ninth year, saw more than 100 participants trek through the Hertfordshire countryside.

CRY focuses on researching cardiac risks, funding life-saving screenings and supporting families affected by sudden cardiac deaths.

Shona Gibson, supply chain senior analyst at Tesco, said: "We would like to extend a huge thanks from our Community team to everyone who participated, volunteered, and donated to this year’s Walkathon."

The importance of CRY's work is made extra poignant to the team by the story of former colleague and friend Andy Forbes, who passed away 15 years ago whilst playing football.
