Hertfordshire's volunteer police cadets put their capabilities on full display during the recent annual County Competition.
All county cadet groups participated in a range of challenges at Hertford's Simon Balle School on June 29 as they tested skills acquired through their volunteer work.
This included handling a simulated crash and a stop and search task, first aid procedures, and effective radio communication.
The competition also put their physicality to the test with a demanding 100m shield run, a tug of war, and a bleep test.
Detective Sergeant Rob Scott, event organiser, said: "This was a brilliant day with 90 cadets in attendance.
"I’m really proud of the hard work and commitment shown by everyone who took part. It’s a fantastic way to showcase the skills they have learnt as part of the cadet programme."
The afternoon drew in families and notable representatives from the constabulary, including Chief Constable Charlie Hall, and Hertfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Jonathan Ash-Edwards.
Chief Constable Charlie Hall said: "This was a fantastic day, and it was a joy to attend and see all of the cadets.
"They should all be really proud of what they achieved throughout the competition."
The Bishop’s Stortford group emerged as the overall victors.
