A major road in Digswell is set to close next month to allow water pipes to be installed.
Harmer Green Lane will be shut from 8am to 6pm between July 27 and July 31, to allow Affinty Water to install pipes that will allow resident access to "high-quality drinking water".
"We’ll be working to install some new pipework to connect nearby properties to our water network," reads a letter sent to residents.
"To do this, we need to close part of Harmer Green Lane. We’re sorry, we know it can be inconvenient for us to work near your home. These new water pipes are essential to provide a reliable supply of high-quality drinking water to our customers."
Harmer Green Lane residents will still have access via the road, while a diversion route will be in place.
"Harmer Green Lane will be closed with residents access only. With a diversion route in place. This is approved by the Highways Authority and will be clearly signed from all directions," the letter continues.
"Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out this important work."
