Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke is coming to Welwyn Garden City for a charity golf fundraiser.
Anton will be at Brocket Hall on Wednesday, June 26, in aid of The Sick Children’s Trust, a charity which provides 'Homes from Home' for families with a seriously ill child in hospital.
Following the success of the inaugural edition in 2023, which raised £39,500, the event is back by popular demand in 2024, with Anton appearing in his role as an ambassador for the cause.
"I can’t imagine, and I never want to imagine my children not being well, but if I did, I would want to be able to stay somewhere near them," said Anton - who appeared on 18 seasons of Strictly.
"The charity offers a solution to families who need to be close to their children at such a critical time by offering welcoming 'Homes from Home'.
"When your world comes to a grinding halt, and you may be travelling away from home to have the support that we give is a brilliant thing.
"We want to do all we can to raise awareness and offer this valuable service to take pressure off families so they can concentrate on being with their children."
Tickets are still available for the golf day if you want to take part, with a team of four costing £1,000 and individual entry priced at £250.
On arrival, participants will enjoy a late breakfast and use of the practice facilities before a shotgun start at 1pm. After 18 holes of golf, the day will end with a gourmet barbecue, a fundraising auction and a bit of speech from Anton himself.
