Isabel Hospice celebrated Volunteers' Week with a series of tea parties to recognise the hundreds of volunteers who support the charity.

Volunteers and staff socialised over tea and cake while learning about different volunteering opportunities within the charity.

Chair of trustees, Terry Philpott, gave a speech at each tea party, thanking the charity's 600-plus volunteers and presenting long service awards.

He highlighted the longest-serving volunteer who has been involved with Isabel Hospice for 20 years.

Dr Helen Glenister, Isabel Hospice CEO, who attended the tea parties to personally thank volunteers, said: "We are grateful to each and every person who has given so freely of their time, experience and expertise.

"They have helped shape the hospice into what it is today.”
