A man has been charged with weapons and assault offences after children were threatened with a baseball bat in Welwyn Garden City.
Stuart Knights, 59, has charged with possession of an offensive weapon and common assault following an incident in Howlands on Friday (June 7).
Police were called at 6.25pm following reports of a man threatening a group of children with a baseball bat.
Officers attended the scene and following inquiries, established no injuries had been suffered during the incident, but a man was arrested.
Knights is due to appear at St Albans Magistrates' Court on June 28.
