A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on Bessemer Road in Welwyn Garden City.
Police were called at around 7.53am today to reports of the collision involving a silver Vauxhall Astra and a pedestrian.
Officers are currently at the scene with paramedics and a woman in her forties has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes as the road is currently closed.
