Phoebe, a school pupil from Stevenage, has painted a mural at the care home that housed her great grandmother.
The Nobel School student created the piece of art at Martins House on Jessop Road, Pin Green, in a bid to raise funds for her school's World Challenge expedition to Borneo.
A total of £275 has been raised so far, after it was officially unveiled by the Mayor of Stevenage, councillor Myla Arceno.
The mural depicts a woodland view through a window, a design chosen by activities coordinator Gemma and care home manager Julie.

Julie Farmer said: "We were naturally keen to be involved and support Phoebe and The Nobel School, especially given Phoebe’s link to our home.
"We are delighted to have helped raise money in this way and hope that the students go on to reach their £4,200 target."
