Five Hertfordshire residents are among those convicted in recent weeks for driving offences.
These crimes have included being in charge of a motor vehicle above the legal limit for drugs and alcohol, speeding and not wearing a seat belt.

1. Constantin Cosmin Sosa, 30
On Monday (May 13), Hatfield man Constantin Cosmin Sosa was sentenced at Hatfield Magistrates' Court for being in charge of a motor vehicle above the legal alcohol limit and failing to surrender to police or court bail at an appointed time.
Sosa was ordered to pay a total of £1,400 for these crimes. This includes a £200 fine, a £400 fine a £180 surcharge and costs of £620.
The 30-year-old was also disqualified from driving for three years.
2. Dogan Ffrench, 50
Hitchin man Dogan Ffrench appeared at Stevenage Magistrates' Court on Thursday, April 25, having been charged with speeding.
The 50-year-old had driven a Ford Fiesta at 58mph in a 50mph zone of the M25.
Ffrench was fined £480, ordered to pay a surcharge of £192 and costs of £110. He was also given three points on his driving licence.
3. Sam Lambton-Cardy, 29
Sam Lambton-Cardy was sentenced at Boston Magistrates' Court for driving on a road in a motor vehicle while not wearing a seat belt.
The offence had taken place in a Citroen Berlingo on the A1 on November 15, 2023.
The St Albans man was fined £220, ordered to pay an £88 surcharge and costs of £110.
4. Sean Taylor, 35
On November 15, 2023, Borehamwood's Sean Taylor drove a Ford Transit on the A40 Green Road in Oxford above the legal limit for a specified drug.
Appearing at Oxford Magistrates Court on April 30, he was ordered to pay a £120 fine, costs of £85 and a surcharge of £48.
The 35-year-old was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.
5. Tony Waters, 43
Stevenage man Tony Waters was sentenced at Guildford Magistrates' Court on April 18 for driving above the legal limit for a specified drug.
The 43-year-old was fined £200, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £80.
Waters was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.
