Hertfordshire could be hotter than Crete and the French Riviera this weekend, with temperatures set to soar.
The mercury has exceeded 20° in the past few days, and we can bring good news for those who were hoping it would last into the weekend.
According to the Met Office, today (May 10) will bring highs of 22°, with Saturday shaping up to be much the same across the county, with mostly clear skies, highs of 22° and lows of 13°.
Sunday will see highs of 23°, although clouds are set to roll in as the weekend comes to a close.
These temperatures will make it hotter in Hertfordshire than some popular European holiday destinations, including the Mediterranean island of Crete, and Nice on the French Riviera.
Unfortunately, the sun is set to go away as we move into next week, with rain expected towards the end of the week, and temperatures dropping to around 17°.
