New policing priorities have been put in place for Welwyn Hatfield.

The Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) has focused on short and long-term neighbourhood issues and, after analysing data and public feedback, set newer priorities.

Increased police presence, engaging events, and targeted enforcement are planned to address these priorities.

For Welwyn Hatfield North, speeding on Heronswood Road, Welwyn Garden City and inconsiderate driving on Station Road, Digswell will be addressed.

For Welwyn Hatfield West, anti-social behaviour in White Lion Square, Hatfield and E-scooter use at High View shops, Hatfield are the main issues.

For Welwyn Hatfield South, anti-social use of vehicles on Station Road, Welham Green, and anti-social behaviour at Hall Grove Shops, Welwyn Garden City will be tackled.

Welwyn Hatfield NPT inspector Amy Sheldon said: “We took into consideration the feedback you gave us so I hope residents feel reassured by these priorities. I would like to thank everybody who took the time to share their views."

Officers will not just concentrate on these local issues, but will also continue to respond to daily business, force-wide priorities, and emerging issues. Intervention officers, local crime unit, and specialist units such as Operation Scorpion will work together to solve crimes.
