Good day to all,

This is my chance to introduce myself to you, tell you about myself and hopefully send you running to meet me, as I am so sad and desperate to find my forever family and share my love.

I am an approximately six-year-old Mastiff cross - so yes, I am a big girl - but don't let that put you off.

I am the sweetest, gentlest dog you could ever meet, and I know I am a special favourite with the staff and volunteers.

Before coming to Southridge, I had a very tough and scary time. Can you imagine being abandoned while pregnant with six beautiful puppies? Well that is what happened to me.

My previous owners just dumped me, leaving me bewildered and confused.

Welwyn Hatfield Times: Betty

Thank goodness I came to Southridge in time to give birth, where I received so much love and care.

I was an excellent mum, and now all my babies have been adopted to loving homes which makes me very happy, but I am also sad, thinking 'isn't it my turn now'?

I have lived with children in the past, so I'd be happy to find a family with dog savvy teenagers of 14-plus years.

I get on well with dogs, so a canine friend would be nice, as long as they realise I can guard my toys. I don't want to live with cats or other small animals though.

I am house trained, tremendously polite on lead, but if you let me off I might wander away to investigate something so beware!

I also need a garden with a six-foot fence, so I can potter, play and sunbathe safely.

So what do you think - I sound pretty perfect don't I? Because I am!

Just imagine me curled up with you on a sofa, or at your feet snoozing, or walking across a field together in perfect harmony. That is my dream - please make it come true.
