A family friendly Pride event is due to be held in the county town in May.
Hertford Town Council will be hosting its first ever Pride event on Sunday, May 12 at Hertford Castle, from noon to 4pm.
The Hertford Pride Family Day will be free to attend and aims to bring the local community together, in a safe and welcoming environment.
A town council spokesperson said: "The event is intended to celebrate inclusion and diversity in Hertford with the simple message: 'Be kind, be yourself and all are welcome'."

Set on the picturesque main lawn of Hertford Castle, the day will host several support and information stalls, local charities, activities for children, and food and drink vendors.
There will be a line-up of live entertainment suitable for all, with special guests soon to be announced.
Hertford Castle will be open for visitors to explore free of charge.
In support of the event, St Andrews Church in Hertford will be offering the church chapel as a quiet, inclusive space for prayer or reflection.
In the space they will be displaying a symbolic piece of artwork called 'Love is Love'.
The Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Vicky Smith, said: “We are so looking forward to our first Family Pride event, in advance of Pride month in June. It’s going to be a wonderful celebration of love and inclusivity for all."
