A man has been hospitalised after being punched in the face outside a Welwyn Garden City pub.

The incident occurred between 11.20pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, February 17, outside the Two Willows pub on Howardsgate, when the victim, a man aged in his 20s, was punched in the head by another man.

He fell to the ground and received serious injuries to his head, which required hospital treatment.

"I am appealing to the public to help us identify this person as he is believed to have been in the area at the time of the incident and they may be able to assist with our enquiries," said PC Hannah Lee of the Welwyn Hatfield Local Crime Unit.
