A driver has been arrested after they reportedly almost collided with a police vehicle on the A1(M) near Hatfield earlier today (Wednesday, April 17).
Shortly after 8am, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit posted on social media that the driver had joined the A1(M) from the slip road at the South Hatfield junction, moving straight into the second lane.

In the process, they "almost collided" with a marked police vehicle.
Officers stopped the driver, and conducted a drugs test on them. They tested positive for cannabis and cocaine, leading to their arrest and their vehicle being seized by police.
Driving while under the influence of drugs can lead to time behind bars, a fine, and/or a ban from driving.
