A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Welwyn Garden City last night (March 27).
Officers were called to Long Ley at 10.10pm, following reports of a motorcycle leaving the carriageway.
The rider, a man in his 20s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"My thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this time," said Sgt Tim Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit.
"I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. Did you see what happened? Or did you see a blue Yamaha motorcycle or any other vehicles in or around Long Ley at this time? Please get in touch if you can help by emailing me at timothy.davies@herts.police.uk
