New traffic and parking plans have been revealed for this year's Slam Dunk Festival after major issues for motorists at 2023 event.
Organisers of the Hatfield House event were forced to issue an apology after serious issues on A414 last year, with an investigation taking place into "why things went wrong".
New measures to avoid similar issues for the 2024 festival - taking place on Saturday, May 25 - have now been announced.
"New for this year, there are different directions to approach the site depending on where you are parking or being dropped off, and there are now two car park entrances along with more signage and improved pick up and drop off operations," read an announcement from Slam Dunk officials.
"These changes have been implemented to ensure improved traffic management, designed to allow everyone a much quicker arrival and departure from the festival.
"A reminder that car park tickets are only available to purchase in advance and more detailed instructions for the parking will only be sent direct to those who have purchased advance car park tickets to either car park to prevent others without car park access from following those directions.
"Likewise, our access customers will also receive their instructions directly via email along with their car park passes rather than those being made public.
"Please do not try to approach the car park entrances without a pre-purchased car park pass being displayed in your windscreen.
"For all pick up and drop offs please head to the designated entrance and do not try to access through the car park entrances. These areas will be clearly signed on your approach to site.
"Please stay tuned for more information on news and details on improvements to the festival sites coming soon. With just a few months to go, we’re looking forward to seeing you all back at Slam Dunk Festival 2024."
"We are looking forward to returning to Slam Dunk this year to headline the festival," said You Me At Six’s Josh Franceschi.
"Slam Dunk has given You Me At Six so much over our career and we’ve got a lot of special memories from performing there over the years.
"The line-up is stacked with great artists, so it will be an elite one."
