A creative hub in Hatfield has bagged the last Welwyn Hatfield Community Fund grant of the year, readying plans for new half-term camps in 2024.
Expanding on its previously successful 'HAPpy Camps', The Craft Room's new programme aims to engage more children, particularly from low-income families, through physical activities, crafts, and nutritious meals.
The camps, which kicked off in the February half-term, will be particularly beneficial for low-income families whose children receive school meals for free and will be available each school break.
A Craft Room spokesperson said: "We aim to reach as many children as possible and we very pleased to be able to do this with the grant we have received from WHCF."
Prospective attendees can secure their spot by getting a 'HAPpy code' through their school for the Easter Holidays.
The Craft Room is based at Breaks Manor Youth and Community Centre in Hatfield.
