- A minibus and a Ford C-Max were involved in a crash at around 5am.
- Herts Police and the East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene of the "serious" two-vehicle crash.
- "Several" people have been taken to hospital, after "multiple" injuries were reported.
- Traffic was eventually released from the rear of the queue.
