A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Welwyn Garden City on Monday.
A 22-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the chest and arms in Hall Grove at around 7.15pm.
Although the victim, a male, suffered serious injuries, these are deemed to be non life-threatening.
The suspect has been remanded into custody.
"We hope that the news that we have charged an individual in relation to the events earlier in the week, will come as reassurance to the local community," said Detective Inspector Bianca Broadbent, who is leading the investigation from the Welwyn Hatfield Local Crime Unit.

"Police also received reports of two further incidents - one of vehicle tyres being slashed in the Little Gannett and Great Gannett area on Monday, and one of criminal damage and threats made on Wednesday in Moors Walk, and we think these may be linked.
"If you witnessed either of these incidents, please get in touch. If you were in the areas at the time and have dash cam footage, doorbell cameras, or CCTV at home, please contact us as you may have recorded some crucial information to assist our investigation."
Chief Inspector for Welwyn Hatfield, Pete Frost, added: "I would like to thank everyone who has come to us with information relating to the events on Monday. At this time, I would also encourage anyone who has information that may help us to come forward."

Editor's note: It's highly unusual to publish a story of this nature without naming the person who has been charged and the road name they live at to prevent misidentification.
However, we felt compelled to publish the information we have to reassure the public that they face no wider threat because of these events.
We're working to confirm the name of the defendant and when we have this we will publish it in accordance with media guidelines around crime and court reporting.
