Welwyn Garden City's beloved World Festival Food is back for 2024, with dates for the event now confirmed.
On Saturday, May 11, and Sunday May 12, the town centre will be transformed into a food lovers’ paradise from 11am until 6pm.
Hungry punters will be able to choose from authentic delights from more than 40 different traders, offering cuisine from around the globe including, Mexican, Spanish, Caribbean, German, Italian and many more.
As well as their usual dishes, Welwyn Garden City BID has worked with traders to create an enticing taster menu priced at £5 or under, allowing visitors to sample more and experience many different flavours at an affordable price.
There will also be a World Music Stage with rhythms from across the globe, A world market area, live cooking demonstrations, walkabout performances, a kid’s fun zone and much more for the whole family to enjoy.
The BID will also be working with Street Food Heroes, who will be in Stonehills Square offering a taste of what is to come at the monthly Street Food Heroes event this year.

"This inspiring event is not just about fostering community bonds - it's a culinary journey offering a real chance to try new flavours, embrace diverse cultures, and expand our horizons," said Nicky Wolff, WGC BID Manager.
"We believe in the power of such events to bring people together, creating memories and celebrating the rich cultures from around the world."
The World Food Festival is funded by the businesses of Welwyn Garden City town centre, with additional support and funding from Headline sponsors and partners Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, Oaklands College and Taylor Wimpey.
