Drug and alcohol misuse charity Resolve has welcomed the refurbishment of Woodhall Community Centre in Welwyn Garden City, where they run their services.
The landlords of the community centre recently relayed the floors, while volunteers from Resolve's borough-wide homeless and rough sleeper project ReStart repainted the hall.
Resolve, which also runs Sparks Community Café and Hub in Hatfield, said that they are looking forward to running their sessions in the renovated facilities.
Dean Norris, who recently took over responsibilities for the management of all Resolve’s substance misuse services, said: "Resolve has been delivering free drug and alcohol misuse treatment services in Welwyn Garden City for over 15 years and we hope to do so for another 15 years.
"The service not only benefits the individuals involved, but also enhances the community around them."

Resolve is currently looking for new trustees - including a treasurer - and welcomes new volunteers.
One service user commented: "I do not think the changes and improvements to my life would have happened without the support from Resolve.
"Even though I acknowledge I still have a long way to go, I do know I am overall healthier, happier, a better mum, daughter, and colleague for now at least."
