A BMW i4 was stolen from an address in Digswell during the early hours of the morning.
The theft took place at 3.45am last Thursday (February 8), when the vehicle was disconnected from an electric charging point in Warren Way, before being driven away.
The owner's daughter's car seat was also abandoned at the end of the road.
CCTV footage appears to show the vehicle being driven away, with another individual running behind it.
Enquiries are continuing into the incident, and Hertfordshire police have asked that anyone with information come forward.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Police are investigating following a reported theft of a motor vehicle on Warren Way, Welwyn.
"It is reported that at around 4am on Thursday, February 8, a green BMW I4 was stolen from a driveway.
"Enquiries are continuing, and anyone with information is asked to please contact police via 101 or the online web chat, quoting crime reference number 41/10973/24."
