Prior approval has been granted for six 20-metre tall antennas to be installed in Potters Bar, to allow for the deployment of 5G connectivity.
The plans - approved on Monday, January 29 - include the relocation of three existing 19.7-metre antennas in Hatfield Road.
Six "bracing support members" will be replaced at the site's "snub tower", and an equipment cabinet will be erected.
A Hertsmere Borough Council decision notice read: "The council hereby determines that the prior approval of the local planning authority is required for the siting, design and external appearance of the development proposed in this application and the details are hereby granted.
"The development hereby approved shall be removed from the site as soon as reasonably practicable after it is no longer required for electronic communications purposes.
SUGGESTED READING
"The site shall thereafter be restored to its condition before the development took place, or to any other condition as may be agreed in writing between the local planning authority and the developer. "
Three objections were made to the plans, along with one comment in support of the application.
