A teenager has been arrested after a reported knifepoint robbery in Welwyn Garden City today (Monday, January 15).
Hertfordshire police were called to the scene at Sainsbury's in Church Road at 10.14am today.
Allegedly, the suspect was holding a knife when he punched a man and then fled the scene.

Police officers quickly arrived on the scene, and apprehended the suspect in Handside Lane.
The man, a 19-year-old from Welwyn Garden City, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, possession of a knife/bladed article, assault and theft from a shop. He remains in police custody.
Police have launched an investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference 41/3953/24.
