Eleven police officers joined the ranks of Hertfordshire Constabulary on Thursday as they were welcomed at a passing out parade.
The latest additions to the force come from various backgrounds, including former students, a bus driver, a nursery manager, an IT architect, an NHS worker, a communications operator, a project manager, reprographics engineer, and an operations manager.
The new officers were presented with certificates signifying the completion of their initial training in the presence of friends, family, and senior officers at police headquarters in Welwyn Garden City.
Deputy chief constable Bill Jephson said: "Congratulations to each and every one of you.
"You are citizens entrusted with power and with this power comes responsibility.
"Keeping your oath will demand a great deal from you, you will face difficult situations and decisions, but you will have the full support of the constabulary as you embark on your new journey as police officers where you will no doubt make a positive difference.
"You are the public face of the police service and I know you will be strong ambassadors for the force.
"I wish you all the very best."
Hertfordshire Constabulary is open to applications for police officers through the Police Constable Entry Programme and Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship.
