A planning application has been submitted to build two new six-bedroom homes on the site of a former dwelling in Digswell.
The plans, submitted by Emery Planning on behalf of Peter Williams, would see the homes built at 106 Harmer Green Lane.
A planning application to demolish the existing dwelling on the site and build a three-storey, five-bedroom home was granted back in 2021, and although the property has been knocked down, Mr Williams has now "reconsidering his options for the site".
"The former house on the site has now been demolished, and the site is now vacant and absent of development at this point in time," reads the planning statement.

Both to the homes planned for the plot would have six bedrooms each - all with en suites - a large kitchen, living room, dining room and study.
Plot one has a proposed wine room and gym on the ground floor, while plot two comes with a gym and media room in the basement.
Although the site is part of the Green Belt, it is "considered to be an infill plot and therefore, deemed as appropriate development".
"The design and appearance of the proposed dwellings would be of the highest quality in terms of design and sustainability and would be in keeping with the existing development surrounding the application site," the planning statement continues.
