Welwyn Garden City's Barn Theatre has held a "barnstorming" open morning, in which visitors were able to see behind the scenes of some of the site's productions.
The event was held on Sunday, December 3, and saw over 200 people attend.
Displays explaining the history of the barn, props used in previous productions and details of how set designs are created were all included in the event.
Demonstrations from the sound and lighting teams took place, along with a rehearsal of War & Peace - which is being staged at the Barn in January.
Two large costume stores were explored, along with set workshops and a treasure hunt took place for children.

Ian Major, chair of the Barn Theatre, said: "The Barn Theatre is a wonderfully inclusive club that exists for all those people, young and old, interested in the theatre.
"We stage, on average, 12 productions a year and we’re always looking for new people to join us - whether that’s in an acting role or by joining our backstage, front of house, or creative teams – there’s lots of ways people can get involved.
"Many of our members simply enjoy the social aspects of the theatre, including special club nights and social events in the Club Room Bar.”
