Owners of a menswear retailer that has opened in Welwyn Garden City are as "proud as punch" with their new Howard Centre store.
Gaffer was officially opened by the Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, Councillor Pankit Shah, last Saturday having expanded from their popular Hemel Hempstead store.
Owners Ken and Sharon Biggerstaff admitted they are as "proud as punch" with their new store, saying: "What an amazing five days it’s been.
"We received the keys to our new store on Monday and with some proper old school hard graft and fantastic support from the guys at The Howard Centre we have managed to create the best Gaffer possible.

"We are totally chuffed with the results. Totally cream crackered, but proud as punch."
The retailer had been teasing a new store on their social media for a number of weeks, posting a picture of a set of keys with the caption "and just like that another Gaffer was born".
Selling popular brands, including Sergio Tacchini, Ben Sherman, Lambretta, Fila and Weekend Offender, they will be hoping for further success in Welwyn Garden City.
"We aim to bring you the best in retro and heritage clothing, so whether your scene casual, skinhead, mod or just geezers who haven't given up, we have it covered with decades of menswear experience," reads the Gaffer website.
