Welwyn Garden City bicycle repair store Kinetic Cycles has closed its premises, as its umbrella company H20 DJY LTD enters liquidation.
Located next to the Howard Centre on Church Road, the shop has closed down, with a letter outside confirming that liquidators have been called in.
"Renshaw UK Limited hereby gives notice that it has peaceably re-entered this property on October, 18, 2023.
"The lease between Renshaw UK Limited and H2O DJY Limited, dated February 1, 2021, is hereby determined. This is on the grounds of non-payment of rent and the company entering into voluntary liquidation.

"Nobody may re-enter this property without the specific consent of the landlords, Renshaw UK Limited. Anybody entering without such consent will be trespassing.
"The former tenant is required to arrange with Renshaw UK Limited to collect any goods or contents from the premises within a reasonable period. If they do not arrange and remove the good within seven days of this notice then they will be disposed of as necessary."
The Gazette, the official public record, shows that H20 DJY LTD - which owns Kinetic Cycles - had a meeting with creditors on September 14, before a winding-up order followed later in the month, with liquidators appointed on October 6.
"It has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up the same and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily," reads the order.
Kinetic Cycles itself has moved to a workshop-only based model at Windyridge Farm, Hertford.
An earlier version of this story inaccurately reported that Kinetic Cycles had entered into liquidation. It's parent company, H20 DJY LTD, was in fact liquidated and Kinetic Cycles continues to operate as a separate entity.
