Two Welwyn Hatfield-based Slimming World consultants have been recognised for their work in supporting their respective groups with their weight loss goals.
Amy Jeffries and Julie Horrocks have been awarded gold status from the major weight-loss service, and were invited to a celebration day at the Slimming World's headquarters in Derbyshire earlier this month.
Julie runs Welwyn Garden City's Thursday night group, while Amy runs the Wednesday night sessions in Hatfield.
Between them they have supported over 40 members to achieve their target weights so far this year and, with many more close to scoring their goals, they have said they are "hugely proud of the difference they make within community".
They said: “While we are the ones collecting this award, it’s an achievement for everyone in our groups – they’ve absolutely gone for gold when it comes to their weight loss!
"So far this year they’ve lost a total of 666.5st between them. They’ve not only lost weight though, they’ve improved their health, transformed their eating habits with our flexible Food Optimising plan and become more active with our Body Magic physical activity support programme.
