Plans have been submitted to redevelop a former Hatfield tea room into a two-storey home.
The proposal would see the Amber Tea Room in Park Street converted into a one-bedroom, residential semi-detached house, spanning two storeys.
The external appearance will be changed from its current pink rendered finish to a white, to match the aesthetic of neighbouring properties.

The Amber Tea Room first opened in the summer of 2022, but closed down earlier this year.
Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps visited Amber Tea Room in December 2022 and praised the café for its ‘fantastic selection of tea, cake and other food and drink’.
A Tripadvisor review from April this year writes that the tea room was "lovely", and that everything about the afternoon tea had "no faults".
