A 43-year-old man has been charged with nine offences following a reported incident at Potters Bar Golf Club.

Christoph Eckerstorfer, of no fixed address, appeared before magistrates yesterday (Tuesday, September 12) following an alleged incident on Saturday (September 9).

He was remanded in to custody until the next hearing on September 18, at St Albans Magistrates Court.

Members of the public were reportedly assaulted during the incident, and a mobile phone was damaged.

The full list of charges are:

• Three counts of racially / religiously aggravated common assault / beating

• Two counts of common assault

• Two counts of assault by beating

• Indecent exposure

• Criminal damage to property valued under £5,000

A common assault was also alleged to have occurred at the same location two days prior.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said yesterday: "A man has been charged with several offences following an incident in Potters Bar at the weekend.

"He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear before magistrates today (Tuesday September 12).

"The charges relate to an incident which occurred on a golf course on Saturday (September 9) where members of public were allegedly assaulted, and a mobile phone was damaged.

"A common assault was also alleged to have occurred at the same location two days prior."
