Two lanes of the A1 have been closed due to a burst water main near the junction for the M25.
The incident began at around 7.28am this morning (Friday, August 11) on the road's southbound carriageway, between South Mimms and Borehamwood.
One lane was initially closed, with Affinity Water employees working at the scene.

Another lane was later shut, with closures set to remain in place throughout the day.
Two miles of traffic is currently being experienced by motorists.

A spokesperson for National Highways said: "Lanes one and two are closed on the A1 south between the M25 Junction 23 and the A5135 at Borehamwood, due to a burst water main.
