Welwyn Hatfield is set for some fun in the sun as BIG Summer returns to the borough with more than 300 events.
Running from July 24 to August 13, many of the events will be free, with everything from sports to arts and crafts taking place.

The events lined up include:
- FK Dance Masterclass - sessions for seven to 16-year-olds taking place throughout BIG Summer at Hatfield Swim Centre. Have fun, get active, and learn from some of the UK’s most talented dancers from stage and screen. Attendance is free of charge, but booking is required.
- SEN (Special Educational Needs) Tech Camp - this unique camp offers a broad range of tech activities for children of all skill levels. Whether they are new to STEM and coding, or a tech-savvy genius they’ll fit right in. Morning and afternoon sessions are available. Attendance is free and you can book online, with and a nutritious hot meal also provided
- Basketball Festival - free to attend and suitable for 12 to 16-year-olds. Join in the action at King George Playing Fields on Saturday, August 5, between 10am and midday. All abilities are welcome.
- Stay and Play - free, weekly sessions for families and their little ones to meet, socialise, and explore a range of fun activities and resources together. Children ages one to five are welcome, and siblings up to eight can also be accommodated.
