Welwyn Garden City's Howard Centre has a new resident, after an independent hat retailer moved into one of the vacant units.

Maz London sells all types of hats for both men and women, with their new store a first for the business.

"We are so happy to welcome Maz London to the Howard Centre," read a post on the shopping centre's Facebook page.

"Maz London is an independent business that sells hats and accessories, and they were online only and have decided to open their first store here in the Howard Centre.

"The new store is located on the first floor next to O2. Please pop in and show your support."

Maz London also posted about their "excitement" following the opening earlier this week, and it brings some welcome news for the Howard Centre after a raft of closures in recent years.

Next and M&S have both left the shopping centre in the past two years, with many units standing empty, but there will be hope they are filled soon.
