Two teenagers have been arrested after a boy was stabbed in Welwyn Garden City last night.

Officers were called at around 11pm on Monday (July 10) following reports of an altercation in Hyde Road.

Officers attended the scene, alongside armed police, and found a 16-year-old boy with suspected stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital and treated at A&E.

A 16-year-old boy from Welwyn Garden City was arrested on suspicion of GBH. He had also sustained a serious wound to his hand and was treated at A&E.

Another 16-year-old boy, also from Welwyn Garden City, was arrested on suspicion of affray. He had sustained minor cuts to his hand.

Both remain in custody at this time.
