Screen on the Green is back in Welwyn Garden City, with a host of blockbuster movies set to be shown.

The popular free event will take place Howardsgate on Thursday, August 17, Friday, August 18, and Saturday, August 19.

The following films will be shown across the three-day event:

Thursday, August 17

  • 11.30am - Frozen 2
  • 3pm - Lyle Lyle Crocodile
  • 6.30pm - Black Panther 2

Friday, August 18

  • 11.30am - Pikachu the Detective
  • 3pm - Matilda the Musical
  • 6.30pm - The Super Mario Bros Movie

Saturday, August 19

11.30am - The Croods 2: A New Age

3pm - Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

6.30pm - Grease

"We are excited to announce that our very popular free, Screen On The Green will be returning to Howardsgate in Welwyn Garden City," said a spokesperson for organisers Wonderful WGC.

"We will be showing nine blockbuster films over the three-day event.

"This non-ticketed open air cinema event is a free event for the community to enjoy.

"You can upgrade your Screen On The Green experience with our deck chair and popcorn combo package for £5.50.

"This event has been funded by the businesses of Wonderful Welwyn Garden City town centre in association with your local independent cinema Campus West and is proudly sponsored by Specsavers Welwyn Garden City."
