A fire has forced the closure of the A1000 Great North Road in Hatfield.
According to Hertfordshire Constabulary, the blaze originated in a woodland at Woodside Lane.
As a result of the fire's spread, officers have taken the decision to close the A1000 Great North Road from Oxlease roundabout to the Rookery Cafe roundabout.
Six fire engines attended the scene and have extinguished the blaze.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, with firefighters now "damping down and cooling the scene".
Hertfordshire County Council has confirmed that there are "long delays" on the Great North Road's southbound carriageway between Hatfield and Potters Bar, with traffic diverting around the M25.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "We're at the scene of a fire in woodland at Woodside Lane, Hatfield.

"As a result of the fire's spread, we have closed the A1000/Great North Road from the junction for Oxlease roundabout down to the Rookery Cafe roundabout.
"Please avoid the area and seek an alternative route."
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service added: "We currently have six fire engines at the scene of a fire at a stables on Woodside Lane, Hatfield.
"Firefighters have successfully extinguished the fire and a now damping down and cooling the scene."
