Welwyn Hatfield welcomed some special guests last week as a delegation from a city in China visited Hertfordshire.
The group from the Zhejiang Province were hosted by new mayor, councillor Pankit Shah, on Friday, June 2, as they discussed planning, the principles of the garden city and the regeneration of Hatfield town centre.

The Chinese delegation also shared their experience, briefing Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council members on developments in Zhejiang.
"I was delighted to meet with the delegation and introduce them to our wonderful Welwyn Hatfield," said Mayor Shah.

"The visit was a great opportunity for both parties to share ideas about planning, regeneration and service delivery.
"There is no doubt that we can learn a lot from each other, and I look forward to keeping in touch our new contacts and hearing more about the future development of their city."
