A Welwyn Garden City man has been charged with shoplifting are being arrested in the town centre last weekend.
Robert Osborn, of Stanborough Close, was arrested on Sunday, June 4, on suspicion of shoplifting, before being charged and remanded into custody.

The 49-year-old was also wanted for failing to appear at court in relation to a theft.
"We are making great efforts to crack down on shoplifting," said PC Cameron Abraham, from the Welwyn Hatfield Safer Neighbourhood Team who arrested Osborn while on patrol.

"I hope this news shows the community and local businesses in the town that we are serious about tackling it and it will not be tolerated.
