Three members of a cross fit gym in Welwyn Garden City worked out for seven continuous hours to raise funds for Breast Cancer UK.
Peter Slater, Iain Frost and Matthew Hosking of The Training Zone – TTZ CrossFit - rowed, biked, ran, and did burpees to raise the money, raking in a total of £2,500.
Many members of the TTZ community joined them throughout the seven hours to show their support and encourage them.
In an incredible feat of endurance and mental strength, the trio and the supporting members completed 670km and 5,480 burpees.

Matthew said: “We all know someone who has had to deal with breast cancer and as a group we wanted to recognise this by raising some well needed funds for one of the various charities that helps those affected.”
The seven hour circuit comprised of 1km on a rower, 2km on an exercise bike and a 1km run, followed by 20 burpees.

Some 50 other members of The Training Zone, including co-owners, brothers Alex and Matt Clementson, undertook rounds of the circuit with the trio to keep them going to their targets.
Co-owner Matt Clementson said: “This is what CrossFit is all about, people coming together and using fitness to pursue and create positive change in the world.”
