An RSPCA branch in Potters Bar continues the search for multiple forever homes for its furry tenants.
RSPCA's affiliate Southridge Animal Centre is hoping to find a wonderful home for each of their animals and if you think you would like a new pet, you can find out more on the website.
You can also donate to charities to help them carry on their rescue work at the same website.
1. Mufasa
Gender - Male
Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Age - Two years (approx)
Mufasa was found as a stray. Sadly, he has FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus) - a common infection in cats - and will need to be an indoor only cat.
He will require a really good environment in order for him to thrive and be happy settling into an indoor home.
Ideally, he will need a catio and a larger property for him to live in due to his history.
Mufasa is unsure of attention but he responds really well to people he knows and is really keen to greet them. He will need lots of positive interaction to gain his trust.
2. Poppy
Gender - Female
Breed - American Bulldog
Age - Six years
Poppy came into the centre when she was found as a confused stray.
She is a super affectionate and loves people and a fuss.
This clever girl knows her name, comes when called and she even knows commands like sit and paw.
Poppy's favourite activity is collecting her toys and lining them all up in her bed all neat and tidy.
She must go to a home that is of a decent size, with a private and secure garden to have lots of fun in.
3. John Boy
Gender - Male
Breed - Terrier
Age - 10 years (approx)
John Boy came to the centre from a very loving home where he lived his whole life with one owner. Sadly, the owner was not able to look after him anymore.
Understandably, kennel life has been a stressful and strange environment to a dog that has always had home comforts, and now it's time for John Boy to have a second chance at finding his forever family.
John Boy has a lot of personality and sprite for his age, he is always up at the kennel door curious as to who is walking past and is up for a chat.
The animal centre is unsure of how well John Boy can see, however, he can be easily startled and he can be protective of food and toys.
If you have quiet environment where he can retire and enjoy the luxuries of a comfortable home once again, then contact the centre to find out more about this wise dog.
4. Ryder
Gender - Male
Breed - Lurcher crossbreed
Age - Five years
Ryder has had to endure quite a stressful life. He came into RSPCA care through no fault of his own and was removed with a number of other dogs.
He was not used to having any hands-on handling, let alone know what a collar and lead were.
Since in the care of the RSPCA, he has learned to wear a collar and harness to go out on walks and has been working very well with his loose leash and has mastered a nice sit.
Ryder loves to run and play and seems to be very playful with toys although, he has not quite mastered bringing a ball back during a game of fetch.
If you are looking for a companion like Ryder, contact the animal centre.
5. Goatzilla
Gender - Male
Breed - Goat
Age - Three years
Goatzilla is a really sweet little boy who came THE RSPCA after his owners abandoned him.
He originally came in with an older companion who sadly passed away due to old age.
Goatzilla is now looking for a new home where there is already an existing female pygmy goat.
He will find the move to a new home very overwhelming and will need people who will be really patient and give him the time to settle.
He is a very gentle and sensitive soul who just needs a loving home where he can be stress free and live the best life.
Currently, Goatzilla is very lonely so if you would like to cheer him up, make sure to contact the Southridge Animal Centre.
